Timelapse & aerial cinematographer with 15+ years of field experience – most of it spent figuring things out the hard way. Based in Ulm, I shoot across Germany and Europe, and share what I’ve learned – the good, the bad and everything inbetween – on the Aero Timelapse blog.

My Story
It started with a borrowed tripod that never quite stood straight and a second-hand camera pointed at the Dhaka skyline from my rooftop. Not because there was anything remarkable happening – but because I wanted to see what the world looked like when you gave it time. That first timelapse never left the hard drive. But it planted something.
“Timelapse taught me that patience is a creative tool — not just a virtue.”
The turning point came not in the field but in a dark room, watching Baraka for the first time. Ron Fricke didn’t just film the world – he listened to it. Every frame held the kind of patience that most cameras never get the chance to practice. That film did something to the way I saw time – not as something to race against, but as the actual material you shape a story from. It’s the reason I picked up a camera. It’s still the reason I go back out.
When drones arrived, everything changed again. Suddenly the places I’d been photographing for years — Ulm, the Dolomites, Lake Como, the valleys of southern Germany — looked completely new from above. The same fascination that Ron Fricke’s films sparked in me found a new dimension.
Today, Aero Timelapse Studio is how I do this work professionally. And the blog is where I share the honest, field-tested knowledge I wish had existed when I was starting out — the mistakes, the settings, the gear that’s actually worth buying, and the techniques that took years to learn.
